Catching up on a bit of reading something other than AIR manuals

Just picked up a copy of Sun Tzu The Art of War. Haven't really stormed the book yet but first few pages seem interesting, coupled with the reviews I read about it.

.
I managed to finish two other books. One was Bunker 13 by Aniruddha Bahal (the Tehelka reporter.) Read it for the heck of reading it. You aren't supposed to think much, just enjoy the ride. Hardy Boys for the late teens.

.
The second book was The Third World War by Humphrey Hawksley. Its described as a new genre called future history(Goes for the 3 books of this series including Dragon-strike and Dragon-fire.) Very interesting reads if you find commando facts and maneuvers interesting. Full of real places and locations you didn't know much about. Like how many of you have heard about the SFF (Special Frontier Force) its composition and purpose? Where is it located? And what they are capable of doing in a novel... Good fun.

Incoming mid-terms run for your lives

Bang... Just been hit by the small bomb. The mid-term has arrived and we are running for the cover of our legal history and constitutional law books. Study, study, study or our internals will cross the boundary of the field like Sachin thrashes around in the arena like a gladiator.

More from the front-line once peace is declared in four days time.
Over and out.

Oh that reminds me. Congrats John Daniel on your becoming Lt. John Daniel sir!
So now I have to start calling you sir again for a totally different reason. Good show!

Cricketing Frenzy

Well we had an Indo-Pak test match here last week which saw this sudden influx of foreigners especially pakis. I gotta see one of the matches from the VIP stand and boy that is what I call FUN FUN FUN... Nice waves by the crowds through out the match and a look at my fave cricket heroes and it makes my day. Lots of people coloured in Indian shades (Orange, white and green) and a few funky Pakistanis with a dhol and the atmosphere was rockkkkinnn. I won't talk about the match as it was a disappointment as India was knocked off from a near victory to a draw and their middle order batsmen were thrashing our ballers. But the city was in big time party mode and it real was fun.

Suicide

I just gave an interview for the position of sub editor for the college magazine. And guess what? My professors wanted me to give them a copy of anything I've written and I gave them this. Thought it would be an interesting read. But now I realize that I should have taken Nehas and moms advice when they told me to take care of all the typos on this page. Well lets hope I don't have too many spelling mistakes.

But you know what they say
A Ishtudy hass saidd
Duh Worsseee yoour sppeeeelings arrrre
duh morrreee hannnndddsoome yoouu areee.

What say anyone agree with me on that?
Grin, I'm just kidding.

Welcome to the world of mooting...

Yeah that title definetly sounds dangerous. Mooting, the so called symbol of all the "I gotta go study as I have only 2 months for my exams" types. Well it seems I am just about to join their club. A few days back I realized I couldn't think of too much to write on my resume about my moots. So finally have decide to work on the P.H Parekh National moot court competition which our college is due to host in April.
Wish me luck people.

The proposition is related to a case of international abduction of a child by his father. Any one clued in on any interesting cases which I could use buzz me.

Back from the intestines of laziness

Well its been a long time since I took my sabbatical from blogging. Feels nice to smell the world of the internet once again... Ahhhh. Don't you think so? Well college is on but with a few interesting events though.
We can't step out of (J)AIL campus as some tipsy juniors of ours had a jolly good time mate and ended up recreating the aftereffects of a Tsunami outside our wardens house. They basically went around campus picking up all the broken litter which the college hadn't bothered to fix and piled it outside his door and bolted him inside. :-) Well, must have been fun for them because it was really hilarious when we came out for breakfast in the morning. (With the warden bolted up helpless inside.) Grin even we didn't do such devilish little pranks when we were "fachhas" in first year.

Now, its not funny anymore as I'm locked within four boundaries of the college. On second thought its a nice excuse to all my school friends whom I haven't met and who are waiting to beat me up.

Ciao for now.
