GASP GASP GASP.....(I BREATHE ALL THE AIR I CAN) finally i can breathe in my own element afer a long sabbatical from the cyber world. Quik overview of what i've been over. Well the most happening thing had been a mootin Delhi. A national moot where we managed to walk away with the second best team prize. We lost in oral arguments by one poin. The experience was exhillarating and the defeated teams included the national law schools from Jodhpur and Bhopal along with Amity and CLC Delhi.
15 k in prize money makes u feel even better about the competition. Followed by a party at a disc with lotsa girls suddenly impressed by your mooting skills is all the more interesting ;-). Helll if i'd known mooting could get you such interesting company I would never have missed one.
Our college has now left its stamp on the national moot scene with podium finishes on the SAARC law moot,and the Criminal moot at VIPS Delhi. Also best speaker prizes at NLIU Jodhpur and VIPS Delhi.
An interesting aspect of the moot was that it was held in ISIL (Indian Society of International Law) which is exactly opposite the Supreme Court.
So now i can boast about how i argued in front of the Supreme Court, though in front of High Court Judges... grin
It's been a heady experience except for the fact we lost by one point o NLSIU Bangalore considered the best law school in India.
Well we've challenged the team for anoher showdown next year.
